Kevin A. Ault, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Ault received his undergraduate training from Butler University and his medical degree from Indiana University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Ohio State University, which included obstetrical ultrasound rotation at King’s College, School of Medicine in London, UK. His fellowship was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Ault is the Associate Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. His research clinical interests are infectious diseases and women’s health. Recent research projects include HPV vaccine development and immunology, HPV detection in pap smears and the use of molecular techniques to examine the normal vaginal flora. Dr. Ault also participates as an investigator in the Emory Vaccine Center, and this work includes maternal vaccination for influenza.

Dr. Ault is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a fellow of the Infectious Society of America; he is one of the few physicians in the United States with both of these honors. He is also an examiner with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the faculty advisor for the Luella Klein Society, a group for Emory medical students with a career interest in women’s health. In addition, Dr. Ault is a current member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

Dr. Ault has co-authored numerous articles and abstracts and is frequently asked to give lectures and seminars across the country and internationally.

Dr. Ault has been a medical advisor for Families Fighting Flu since April 2012.
